Introducing smart food in industrial canteen menus

In an effort to create awareness about preparing innovative and cost-effective millet food products among the industrial caterers, the Karnataka State Department of Agriculture (KSDA), Government of Karnataka (GoK), in association with The Nutrition and Nutraceutical Research Centre (NNRC), Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), and the International Crops Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics, had organized a one-day workshop on ‘Introducing Millets – Smart Food in Industrial Canteen Menus’, on Saturday, the 15th December 2018, at the Faculty of Hospitality Management and Catering Technology, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences.

The workshop included technical sessions and culinary demonstrations on millet products by culinary experts.
