Production incentive of Rs 10,000/- per hectare is being provided to millet growing farmers through DBT based on the crop survey.

Raithasiri scheme has benefitted a total number of 125812 farmer’s financial assistance of Rs.101.74 crores since inception.

In order to encourage Processing, Grading, Value addition, Packing and Branding of Minor millets, an assistance of 50% or maximum of Rs.10.00 lakhs subsidy are being provided to the millet processing projects.

To create awareness among farmers about the usefulness of increasing organic carbon in soil, farmers are being provided with Rs.2500/- per hectare (100%) for demonstration.

Further, green manure seeds mainly Diancha, Sunhemp etc. are being distributed to all categories of farmers at 75% subsidy.

Karnataka, first state in the country to formulate exclusive organic farming policy during 2004, revised later during 2017 incorporating special emphasis to millets.

Under Policy various Organic Promotional Programmes implemented.

Organic farmers associations formed under promotional programmes was registered for organic certification & federated to form 15 Regional Organic Federations throughout the State.
